Slovenia is a small country bordering Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia. Slovenia has had a troubled history as part of the Austrian Empire and lately of Yugoslavia. Today it is very much part of the European Union and offers some of the best holidaying in Europe. The scenery is beautiful, comprising mountains, forests, rolling hills, lakes and valleys, and its short stretch of coastline is great for swimming off rocky coves and diving in crystal clear waters. The capital, Ljubljana, is one of Europe's prettiest and most relaxing, set in a lush valley and with a beguiling labyrinth of medieval streets and buildings. Ljubljana also has a vibrant café scene with a cosmopolitan feel.

The Atlantis water park, one of the largest indoor water parks in Europe, is just a 15 minute drive. Plus the location of the Parc is perfect for strolling through the streets of old Ljubljana and enjoying the historic sights and lively cafe society.
