Domaine de Kerlann is
stunning. It is in a lovely location, right in the middle of the
countryside, surrounded by shady woodland and near some very
photogenic beaches.
Ancient stones protectively guard the entrance and the gardens
are a blaze of colour. But this parc is not just a pretty face,
it has a great atmosphere and loads of activities on offer.
Domaine de Kerlann has : volleyball,
boules, biking, football, windsurfing, golf, horse riding,
sailing. I also have it on good authority that the SplashZone by
the pool is brilliant and the children love it. Or, for a less
boisterous activity, how about a walk along the River Aven?
Domaine de Kerlann : evening activity, one bar holds shows, quizzes, discos etc
or there’s the quieter Ocean Bar if you’re not really into
shows, quizzes, discos etc. In high season you could always go
for a late night dip in the pool (open until 10pm weather
permitting). In summer, traditional fêtes are often held on the
terrace above the pool, selling such Breton classics as crêpes,
cider and cakes.
There is a bistro and takeaway on site, but if you want to try
somewhere further afield the general consensus amongst the team
at Domaine de Kerlann is that the best seafood in the area can
be found at Mimosas, on Pont Aven harbour just 5 or so minutes
away. |
